This Second Grade Djembe Shell was hand carved from Iroko timber.
Iroko (Milicia regia) is a lighter-weight golden hardwood which produces more portable drums. Usually carved in Burkina Faso or Ivory Coast in a style emphasising crisp tones and slaps.
All of our djembe shells come with a bottom ring and two matched top rings included. If you have a preference for looser or tighter rings, let us know in your order!
