Rope
We use quality high tensile nylon-core yachting rope that won’t slip. Good rope allows your drum to stay tuned for longer and needs less ongoing maintenance.
Hides
Our premium synthetic skins are durable and easy to play. They are weather-resistant and less affected by humidity than natural skins.
Shells
Carved from solid, sustainably-sourced mahogany. With continued evolution in design and playability, our shells offer affordability without compromising on quality
Easy to play
A well-rounded playing edge – our signature “Comfort Curve” – makes these drums a dream to play, and the ropes and rings are set with plenty of clearance.
We offer LIFE LONG TUNING on every African Djembe bought from us Just drop your drum in our St Kilda shop and we’ll do our best to crank it on the spot for you, or you can pick it up the next day. We’ll also give you advice on how to best look after your drum.
Comes complete with an AD Drum Care and Tuning Guide to help you get the most play out of your drum.
