More Details
Also known as the Fula Flute or Tambin (because they are made from the tambin vine), this is the traditional flute of the Fulani people of the Fouta Djalon highlands of Guinea.
Over time it has been incorporated into the traditional music of the Malinké people who live in close proximity to the Fulani in Guinea and Southern Mali. They have a distinct and dynamic sound and often feature in ballet orchestras.
