About the Shell
Khadi, or hare (Pterocarpus Erinaceus) is the densest and hardest of West African timbers, known for powerful resonance and its signature tiger grain. Instantly recognisable and highly sought after. Many different carving styles give it a wide spectrum of sound.

About the Hide
Yearling skins are a great middle ground between cow and goat. Offering a little bit of warmth and a bit of bite too in the top end, these young cow skins are fast becoming super popular with djembefola. We take care to find the best hide for the shell to maximise its dynamic range.

We offer LIFE LONG TUNING on every Master Series Djembe bought from us. Just drop your drum in to our St Kilda shop and we’ll do our best to crank it on the spot for you. You can also pick it up at a later date. We’ll even give you advice on how to best look after your drum!
