Chakra Guide

This Crystal Singing Bowl works with frequencies commonly associated with both the Sacral and Heart Chakras. The Sacral Chakra is linked to creativity, pleasure, and emotional flow, while the Heart Chakra relates to compassion, connection, and emotional balance. Together, these energies may support a harmonious relationship with oneself and others, combining warmth, openness, and emotional depth during sound work.

Each bowl size is commonly associated with a specific chakra range and tonal depth. While individual experiences may vary, size and pitch play an important role in how the sound is perceived during practice.

Understanding the Chakras

6” – Crown Chakra (B note)
8” – Throat Chakra (G note)
10” – Solar Plexus Chakra (E note)
12” – Root Chakra (C note)
22” – Sacral & Heart Chakra (very low tones)

The 22” size produces a slow-building, immersive sound that is best suited for sound journeys, deep relaxation, and group sessions. Due to its size and weight, it is generally played in a fixed position and is often combined with smaller crystal bowls to create a full tonal spectrum.

Is this bowl suitable for beginners?
The 22” size is generally recommended for experienced practitioners due to its weight and powerful resonance. Beginners may prefer to start with a smaller bowl before incorporating large bass-range bowls into their practice.

How is this bowl typically used in sound work?
This bowl is often used as a foundation in group sound journeys, combined with large instruments such as gongs or wellness drums to create deep, immersive soundscapes.

What’s the difference between crystal singing bowls and metal singing bowls?
Crystal singing bowls produce a clear, sustained tone, while metal singing bowls offer a warmer sound with richer overtones. Both are widely used in meditation and sound work, and are often combined with other sound healing instruments such as rainsticks, gongs, bells, and shakers.
